2 hour delay day

Lucky me, we had a 2 hour delay today.  It snowed last night very unexpectedly and we are expecting more tomorrow, so who knows if I will be at work or not.  Here is today's outfit...

I got 2 compliments on this outfit today.  My favorite was that I looked like a sophisticated college student (as someone out of college for more than a decade that was awesome).  I do not think the lighting in my closet is really doing it justice, I might have to come up with another solution for these photos.

Weekend Outing

This is something I would wear to work.  On the weekend you will usually find me in jeans, but I had a birthday party to take my daughter to so I decided to do more than jeans and a sweatshirt.  The pants are Banana Republic, the blouse is from Ellembee, and the boots are from Aerosoles.  I bought the pants with a gift card I got at Christmas and I love them.  The shirt was a Christmas present form my brother in law.  I asked for a gift card and tried to explain it is easier to get on a plane with a gift card and you are giving me the gift of shopping.  He did not get it and insisted he wanted to get me an actually present, wasn't there something tech related I wanted?  Ummm no.  Back in the summer of 2013 I went to a festival in my hometown where I ran into a booth of Ellembee clothing.  I feel in love.  I get a piece or two of hers every now and then so I sent him links to some things I liked and this is what he picked.  We were both happy.  The boots I bought while out with a friend.  They have this awesome second zipper so I can add some room for thicker pants.

Welcome

Let me be honest, up until recently I have not been into fashion.  Does it fit, fan I wear it to work, will I cry if I get paint on it?  Those have been my major concerns until now.  But I realized I carry myself in a different way when I feel more fashionable.  It is going to be a long uphill battle, but I am going to try to make smarter decisions in regards to my clothing.  II hope to post fashion choices I am making to keep myself motivated.
